As Chairman of The Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) and a Member of Parliament, Batu, I strongly support efforts that promote animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and regional collaboration. The transition towards cage-free egg production is more than a technical improvement in farming it is a reflection of our values as a society. It signifies a shift towards compassion, sustainability, and social responsibility in agriculture.

This alliance uniting the Malaysia Cage-Free Egg Producers’ Organisation, the Free Range and Cage-Free Association of India, and the Indonesian Cage-Free Association demonstrates the power of regional partnerships in advancing a shared vision. Together, we are setting a new standard for egg production that respects both the well-being of animals and the future of our planet.
